広島ではじめてのアートブックフェアを開催します。

まだ見ぬ本に出会うために街へ出る。ページをめくるように、角を曲がる。
知らなかった誰かのまなざしや、遠い場所の気配にふれながら、人と文化に出会っていく。
そんな楽しい回遊の時間を、この街にそっとつくってみたいと思いました。

平和都市と呼ばれる広島で、アートブックフェアをひらくことには、大きな意味があると感じています。
この土地を訪れ、風景にふれ、歩き、言葉を交わし、ときに笑い合う。
そのひとつひとつのささやかな体験が、まだ知らなかった価値観に気づくきっかけとなり、
遠くにある文化へと心をひらき、やがて他者を想像する力へとつながっていく。
そうした連なりの先に、平和はあるのかもしれません。

アートブックは、言葉や国境を越えて、誰かの強い思いから生まれる表現です。
その重なり合う紙の中には、時間や情熱、願いのようなものが、たしかに宿っています。
広島という場所で、アートブックを入口に、文化が行き交い、まだ見ぬ世界に触れるよろこびや発見が
ゆっくりとひらいていく。その可能性を信じています。

このフェアを通して、文化や芸術への関心が静かに根を張り、
やがてこの街の土壌はやわらかく豊かなものになる。ちいさな試みかもしれませんが、
いつか広島の風景を彩る、やさしい光になることを願っています。


We are launching Hiroshima's first art book fair.

To discover books we have never seen before, we step out into the city. We turn a corner as if turning a page.
Along the way, we encounter other ways of seeing and traces of distant places, and through them, new people and cultures.
We hope to create this joyful experience of moving through the city.

We believe that holding an art book fair in Hiroshima, known as a city of peace, carries special meaning.
Visiting this place, taking in its scenery, walking its streets, exchanging words, and sometimes sharing a laugh:
each small experience can reveal values we did not know, open our minds to cultures far away, and help us imagine the lives of others.
Perhaps peace begins at the end of this chain of experiences.

Art books are forms of expression born from someone's deep commitment, crossing languages and borders.
Within their layered pages, we can feel the time, passion, and hopes that went into making them.Here in Hiroshima,
art books can become an entry point for cultures to meet,and for the joy of discovering unfamiliar worlds to unfold slowly.
We believe in that possibility.

Through this fair, we hope that interest in culture and art will quietly take root, making the cultural soil of the city softer and richer over time.
It may be a small beginning, but we hope it will one day become a gentle light within the landscape of Hiroshima.
